ABOUT US

NewStory SGV was birthed with a vision to spread the gospel to the San Gabriel Valley. 

We whole-heartedly believe that all of the personal and community problems we face can be solved through a relationship with Jesus. We aim to create a community where singles and families can experience God through faithful Bible teaching, service-oriented living, reflection, spiritual practices and belonging. 

We plan on launching the church in Fall of 2026. In the meanwhile, we are holding Vision Services for those who are interested in being a part of the launch team. 

We are thankful for all of our gospel partners, especially our sending church NewStory LA.

OUR PASTOR

OUR PASTOR

Dustin Lang was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He grew up exposed to Buddhism and Christianity but became more drawn to the latter (the food options might’ve played a big factor in this). He looked for meaning in life through achievements but was left empty and unfulfilled. 

While at a Christian basketball camp in junior high, his eyes were opened to the radical nature and beauty of the gospel message. Shortly after placing his faith in Jesus, he started taking steps to prepare for a life in ministry. 

Pastor Dustin has had the privilege of being shaped by ministries that prioritized discipleship, missions, deep Bible teaching, expressions of the Holy Spirit, and strong community. He hopes to instill the same values in NewStory SGV.

He is married to his best friend Jennifer who also serves the church. He loves tennis, gospel piano, good food, and the LA Lakers.
